VISION AND MISSION STATEMENTS

VISION:

To provide quality driven, result oriented, client focused and affordable health services to all people lving in the New Juaben Municipality in the the Eastern Region of Ghana.

MISSION:

The New Juaben Municipal Health Directorate has a mission to improve the health status of all people living in the Municipality through the developement of pro-active policies for good health and longivity, the promotion of Universal access to basic health services and provision of quality health services, which is affordable and accessible. These services will be delivered in a humane, efficient and effective manner by well trained friendly, highly motivated and client oriented staff.

GHANA HEALTH SECTOR GOAL:

The sector goal in the Municipality is to work together for equity and good health for all people living in the Municipality.

HEALTH SECTOR OBJECTIVES:

• Increase geographycal access to health services to all people living in the Municipality
• Provide better quality of care in all Health Care delivery centres
• Improve efficiency at all levels of the health sector
• Foster closer collaboration and partner between the health sector and all other stakeholders
• Increase the overall resources in the health sector and ensure equitable and efficient resource distribution
• Increase financial access to health care with special focus on sustainable and financial arrangements that protects the deprived and Vulnerable
• Bridge equity gaps in access to quality health services with emphasis on the deprived areas in the Municipality

MILLENNIUM GOALS:

• Reduce matured mortality by 3/4 by 2015
• Reduce infant and under five mortality by 2/3 by 2015
• Attain universal access to reproductive health services by 2015
• Reduce Tuberculosis , HIV/AIDS and Malaria mortality by 50% by 2015
